I Love This 1968 Sports Illustrated Mickey Mantle Poster
I love this poster. Its as simple as that. Each corner is torn out, and it is so torn out you can see that the thumb tacks have come in and out of this poor poster for a lifetime. It has been enjoyed. It has been used. And through it all, it has survived. This poster of Mickey Mantle is one of, if not THE rarest Sports Illustrated poster available. I saw this on an online auction and had to have it. Everything about it reminded me of my childhood. It is battle worn and has made it through to survive today. This thing speaks to me. Even though I have it listed, it sits in my house. Daily, I debate delisting and framing this with a nice matte so it can be displayed for the battles it has been through. I truly do love this poster. So that’s why the price is what it is. This is the value it will take to get it away from me. One day, if I decide to frame and matte it, I will update this post, but till then, this is what it will cost.
